A Letter from Our Vice President of Membership
Hi there! My name is Charlotte Paine, and I am Pi Alpha’s Vice President of Membership for Formal Recruitment this year. It is an honor to serve the women of this chapter, and I cannot wait to meet you all in the fall!
As a PNM, I had no idea where the recruitment process would take me, but I knew that I was excited to meet some of the Panhellenic women and experience Greek Life for myself. After visiting Delta Zeta in round 2, I knew I loved them. The women I spoke to were genuine, compassionate, and energetic; they embodied the home I hoped to find by going through this process. I saw parts of myself in each woman I spoke with. Each time I went back to the house, it felt like I was talking to friends I’d known for months, and I truly felt like they cared about me and who I was.
After almost two years in this chapter, these women continue to bring light into my life. They empower, support, and uplift each other. They have taught me how to stick up for myself and be confident in who I am. They make everyday things, like meals or running errands, fun and meaningful. And they are some of my closest and dearest friends.
As you navigate this process yourself, I encourage you to remain open minded. I hope you find a place where you feel comfortable, supported, valued, and heard. Remember: this process is for YOU. And wherever the recruitment process takes you, I hope you find a love that is ever steadfast.

As a Delta Zeta, every little moment we get to spend with each other is special. Whether it is a walk to class with a friend, a drive to Paynes Prairie to watch the sunset, or a movie night at the house, we are always finding bliss in simple everyday acts. It is in the moments in between that we find fulfillment in our sisterhood. These simple experiences enrich our lives and give us a deeper appreciation for each other. We have found a true home in Delta Zeta knowing that we will always have friends to support us in any aspect of our lives. While your future may be uncertain, know that the countless little memories you share with your sisters will remain with you for a lifetime.
